( ) The rich will not put up with it
( ) The poor will not put up with it
( ) The U.S. Government will not put up with it
( ) The United Nations will not put up with it
( ) Requires immediate total privatization of commons
( ) Requires immediate total communization of private enterprise
( ) Requires immediate total cooperation from everybody at once
( ) Many citizens and businesses cannot afford to lose business or
alienate foreign nationals
( ) Nutjobs with advanced weapons don't care about our politics
( ) Anyone could anonymously destroy anyone else's career or business
( ) Allows or condones decivilization of society
Specifically, your plan fails to account for
( ) Existing laws, institutions expressly prohibiting it
( ) The U.S. Electoral College
( ) The U.S. Senate
( ) The Republican and Democratic parties
( ) Joe Sixpack's lack of interest in reading 1100-page spending measures
( ) Joe Sixpack's lack of ability in operating a firetruck, police scanner,
or road-paver
( ) Unpopularity of weird new taxes
( ) Public reluctance to accept weird new forms of money
( ) Huge existing investment in political action groups
( ) Susceptibility of untested political models to failure under attack
( ) Willingness of voters to vote for the lesser of two evils instead of
holding out for a better choice
( ) Reality
( ) Corrupting influence of power
( ) Extreme profitability of graft
( ) Nepotism
( ) Technically illiterate politicians
( ) Technically illiterate citizenry
( ) Dishonesty
( ) The corporate media spin machine
( ) The military, and other forms of pork barrel spending
( ) The ease of spying on people with modern technology
and the following philosophical objections may also apply:
( ) Ideas similar to yours are easy to come up with, yet none have ever
been shown practical
( ) Any scheme based on strict adherence to an untested philosophical
model is unacceptable
( ) Morality should not be the subject of legislation
( ) Purely market-based societies suck
( ) Purely socially-engineered societies suck
( ) Anarchy sucks
( ) Fascism sucks
( ) Fuedalism sucks
( ) Minorities really do have rights
( ) The system should not involve murder or unjust imprisonment
( ) The system should not involve sabotage of current infrastructure
( ) The system must work if phased in gradually
( ) The system should not illogically penalize some segments of society
( ) Why should we have to trust you and your friends?
( ) Incompatiblity with the existing world around you
( ) Feel-good measures do nothing to solve the problem
( ) Temporary measures involving people's careers almost always become
permanent
( ) I don't want to give up trial by jury
( ) Killing them that way is not slow and painful enough
Furthermore, this is what I think about you:

( ) This is a stupid idea, and you're a stupid person for suggesting it.
